In short we will review:

  • Logitech G700 : Best wireless gaming mouse 2012.
  • Razer Naga : This mouse is perfect for playing MMOG like World of Warcraft.
  • Razer Deathadder : This is a very responsive, high quality all purpose gaming mouse.
  • Logitech G9X Laser Mouse : The G9X is designed for people who both play and work with their mouse. The mouse let’s you setup different modes and switch between them seamlessly.
  • Logitech G300 : Ambidextrous budget gamer unit.
  • Logitech G500 Gaming Mouse : The G500 is an ergonomic mouse that won’t leave your hand tired, even after hours of use.

What makes a gamer mouse different from an ordinary mouse is that it needs to quickly and exactly relay your user input to your personal computer, it needs to be customizable to your preferences and it needs to feel and look good.

Razer Naga

This is my number 1 pick as: best MMORPG mouse of 2012. The main future of the mouse is the 12 button gamepad on the side where your thumb would usually rest. This allows you to for instance switch attacks when you are playing World of Warcraft. It does take quite a long time to get used to using the keypad instead of your keyboard. Once you do however you will have better control and faster responses in the games you play, especially in PVP, when you need it.

The Naga looks and feels great. The sides have a smooth feel with rubber on top. All in all a very natural mouse to use.

The comes with either blue or red internal lights which are eye-catching and sleek.

The compact design is ideal for my desk. The Naga is so small that its operations are smoother than any other mouse I’ve used previously. This is a great tool.

Logitech G700

Wireless gaming mice have a bit of a bad name. The problems they typically had where slow updates to your PC and some of them where tricky to install correctly. This wireless mouse from Logitech has neither of these problems. With it’s gaming grade laser and ergonomic design it is as comfortable and responsive as any gaming mouse.

The one issue I had with the G700 is the 3 power status lights. You would think each represented 1/3 of the charge on the rechargeable battery. They don’t the first 2 represent 25% and the last one 50%. So you have more time left than you might think.

There is an on/off button on the bottom of the G900 to conserve power. When it does run out you plug in a USB 2.0 power data cable and keep using the mouse, while it charges up.

It might not look as good as some gaming mice, but if you want to go wireless the Logitech G900 is the way to go.

Razer Deathadder 3500 High Precision

Where the Naga is complicated and powerful, the Deathadder is straightforward accurate and cheap.

This mouse is extremely good value for money. The left/right clicks on the mouse are perfect, just sensitive enough. When I rest my hand on the mouse, it is comfortable. Also, the Deathadder moves with only slight pressure. That’s ideal for when I am playing a game online. The cord is a superior to what I have used previously as well. The software that accompanies the mouse enables you to adjust the movement rate of the pointer. This is a lot more advanced than mice from a few years ago.

All in all, I could not be more pleased with the Deathadder. This device provides comfort, control, and precision, which are all the features a mouse needs.

Razer Vespula

It is not worth owning a good mouse and then using it on a cheap mouse pad.

The Razer Vespula is a plastic mouse pad. I was hesitant at first, but when I started using the Vespula, I could not have been more delighted. To improve the control this pad gives you they made it very thin, it’s far better compared to the softer mouse pads I owned in the past. The pad is noiseless, and it stays firmly in-place on my desk. The Vespula has a fast side and if you flip it over a control side. This helps me with gaming, I favor the speed side for easier movement. This is a top quality mouse pad with all of the best features.

Logitech G9X Laser Mouse

This is the mouse we recommend for those who both game and work with their mouse.

The first standout features of the G9X are the interchangeable grips. Owners can go for supreme comfort or great fingertip control. This is particularly useful when changing between pc jobs. Many users alternate between professional work and gaming, so they make use of both grips.

The on-board memory is the next function of note. Users can save as many as five profiles, each with a different LED color, so you can quickly distinguish between them. This means if the mouse is used on a different pc, the mouse settings are automatically loaded without using software.

The G9X is really as high-tech as it is functional. This is a great mouse for all those computer users.

Logitech G500 Gaming Mouse

Some game enthusiasts find the shape of the G500 to be great. Your palm rests very comfortably on it.

All buttons are right at your fingertips, such as the scroll wheel that pushes left or right. The hyper scrolling is ideal for web surfing. The shape of the G500 is perfect, with textured sides and nice contouring. Your ring finger has a nice place to rest, and also the palm grip is powerful and feels natural. Free mode and click mode may be used interchangeably, based upon what you are doing.

The performance within the G500 is first rate. Users also have greater command over the mouse, which provides greater gaming functionality. A really nice mouse at the price.
